Lea River Race Coaching, 14 September 2023
What: This course will be aimed primarily at improving your chances of opening a can of whoop ass at the Lea race!
We will focus on racing strategy and will analyse each individual rapid to see where we can go faster by using the water and features to our advantage.
Who: This course is open to anyone who wants to perform at their best in the Lea race, as well as those who may not be racing but want to learn better technique. Learning who to use the water to go faster is not just for racer heads; it also happens to be the best and usually safest way to tackle rapids. You don't necessarily need to have paddled the lea previously but you do need to be competent on class 3/ 4 rapids and know how to boof already (even if they don't always work!).
How: This course will be run as a half day session 3hr session. There will be a morning and afternoon session and participants will be allocated a session time closer to the course.
Where: I suggest we go paddle the Lea for this one!
Group 1: will meet at 8:30am, ready to paddle, at the paddock at the bottom of the race course. Group 1 will paddle from 9am. - 12pm.
Group 2: meet at 12:45pm, ready to paddle, at the paddock at the bottom of the race course. Group 2 will paddle from 1 - 4pm.
