Whitewater Guide/Instructor Training Course

Saturday – Sunday, April 1-2, 9am – 4 pm Forth River

Paddle Australia training course for teaching skills and leading trips on moving water up to, and including, Grade 2 for experienced paddlers. This training course is a strongly recommended pre-requisite for anyone wanting to go for the Paddle Australia Whitewater Instructor Assessment rnat a future date (1.5 days assessment, separate). This is not an introduction to Whitewater Skills course but for experienced paddlers looking at demonstrating correct stroke technique in an instructing situation on moving water, breaking down and teaching stroke technique, whitewater rescue techniques and is preparation for the Whitewater Guide/Instructor Assessment.

All paperwork needs to be forwarded to Paddle Tasmania within 3 months of completing the course.

There will be a $170.00 fee to register your qualification with Paddle Australia for 3 years. You will only be invoiced for your PA registration once all requirements for the qualification have been completed and submitted to Paddle Australia.
