2 day Flatwater Lifeguard/Guide/Instructor Course based around Kingston Beach.
The course will commence at Friday afternoon at Sandy Bay start 4.30pm, April 2 9am – 4pm or longer if needed.
Assessment for this course (for either FW Guide or Instructor, or Canoe Lifeguard, dependent upon participants previous experience and meeting the PAQS criteria) will occur both informally and formally over the two days. Please see attached supporting document for the explanation between the awards from the PA website to see at which level the participant is aiming for or requires. Participants need to bring: - Kayak or canoe, paddle, PFD, spraydec
- Warm paddling clothing – 2 sets per day of next-to-body clothing is recommended so you don’t have to put on wet gear for a second paddling session
- Lunch, drinks and snacks
- Personal paddling log, other relevant qualifications - see below for more details about your Paddle Log
- Any currently used risk management or lesson plans if available. These are not required at the time of the course, but if you are using some, bring them along for review.
- Paper and pen

Participants will be invoiced 2 weeks prior to the course commencement for payment.
