Sea Kayaking is a unique and spectacular way to sea the coastline and you may experience some close encounters with marine wildlife.

Other dates: 16 and 23 October 2021. 9.00am to 3.30pm
Over the 3 days the course introduces skills necessary for sea kayaking in coastal environments including:
What sort of craft are appropriate?
How to launch and land successfully in small surf
Performing efficient paddle strokes while looking after your shoulder and other joints
Being able to rescue capsized craft and perform assisted rescues
The course is one of the Paddle Australia Qualification Scheme courses and the holder of this award has demonstrated the ability to plan and conduct personal day-based activities in sea kayaks in coastal conditions.
Pre-requisite for this course is Flatwater Skills or demonstrated equivalent skills.
This course is a pre-requisite for Sea Skills (Next Course Sunday 7, 14, 21 November, plus Overnight trip dates TBA
Not included in this course: Rolling, Re-entry and roll.

Saturday 16 October – Seacliff.
Saturday 23 October – Victor Harbor.
