Whitewater Guide/Instructor Training Course Cost: Non-member $365; member $292
Saturday – Sunday, April 10-11, 9am – 4 pm Forth River
Paddle Australia training course for teaching skills and leading trips on moving water up to, and including, Grade 2 for experienced paddlers. This training course is a strongly recommended pre-requisite for anyone wanting to go for the Paddle Australia Whitewater Instructor Assessment at a future date (1.5 days assessment, separate). This is not an introduction to Whitewater Skills course (see above 1 day courses for Skills development), but for experienced paddlers looking at demonstrating correct stroke technique in an instructing situation on moving water, breaking down and teaching stroke technique, whitewater rescue techniques and the requirements for Whitewater Guide/Instructor Assessment.
This course also consists of an online component, once you have paid forrn the course you will receive a link from Paddle Australia. All paperworkrn needs to be forwarded to Paddle Tasmania within 3 months of completing the course.Cost: $365 non-members $292 members
Payment: Once the minimum of 4 registrations is received you will be emailed with payment details. All payments will need to be made prior to the commencement of the course. If the minimum number is not reached by registration close date the course will be cancelled.
