What does it involve and who is it aimed at:
This course is aimed at people who can handle themselves on the Mersey whitewater course but would like to upgrade and finesse their skills.  The course will start with getting back to fundamental basics with flatwater technique to identify common mistakes, correct any flaws and improve paddling efficiency.  This will be followed by a river trip, using all the river features to demonstrate and practice correct white water techniques and group safety.  The afternoon will be spent on the slalom course where we will focus on repeating various gate sequences and use video analysis to improve technique.

The following day we hope to get on either the Lea River or the North Esk and focus on river reading skills, group safety, using the whitewater to your advantage and advanced techniques such as boofing.
