| Course Information |
This course is aimed to provide the foundational skills required to become a Raft Guide. The course will most likely (river conditions dependent) take place on the Picton and Huon Rivers in Southern Tasmania. This will provide an ideal Grade 2/3 environment in which to hone raft guiding skills.
By the end of this training activity you will have the skills, knowledge and ability to guide a raft as part of a team on Grade 2 water. We highly recommend completing this prior to attending our Lead Raft Guide course.
You will learn how to prepare for rafting trips, launching boats, maneuvering rafts, running rapids, performing swimmer and capsize drills as well as landing and securing rafts. |
